"SHAPE Services, known for its IM+ brand of mobile clients, has recently beta-launched its free, Web-based conference service for IM. Called Persistent.im, the service is designed to meet the growing needs of those who use instant messaging for real-time conferencing, while eliminating the need for participants to be on the same instant messaging network.
With Persistent.im, users can initiate, manage and participate in the conference using one of several supported public IM networks, including AIM, iChat, MSN/Windows Live, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk, and even MySpaceIM." Full review by Vangie Beal
BlackBerry Cool Best of WES: 2008 Winners
As a free service, Shape's GPSed puts tracking into everybody's hands. The ability to quickly geotag and share pictures on an established system like Google Maps' Panoramio has obvious usefulness for shutterbugging travellers, but I could see some enterprise usefulness too. Software Review: xPlayer BlackBerry Entertainment Solution
"xPlayer does offer a bit more than the native BlackBerry player. For a free application, I give xPlayer a thumbs up. It doesn't share the flashy graphics as say Flipside or MiuTunes, but it does offer enough to turn some heads. In their next version, I hope that they can tinker with the button issues I mentioned earlier and perhaps allow for an easier way to select an audio path." Full review by Ryan Blundell
VR+ version 2.4 goes social
"They are again extending the possiblities with something that should be interesting to a bunch of people: the ability to post immediately your recording to MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. If you're too lazy to type 140 characters, well, you can just dictate them. Of course, MySpace and Facebook don't have that limitation, so you can blabber a lot more." Fill review by Luciano ES
They Want to Connect us All: an Interview with SHAPE Services Marketing Manager
"Q: What features should we expect to find in future releases of your popular Vo-IP and IM applications?
A: Application development is an ongoing process, and soon you'll see a tight integration between our products and popular online communities such as MySpace and Facebook - something currently missing in our competitors' offerings. " Full interview
VR+ 2.3 - Voice Recorder Application
"VR+ has been getting better and better and it just got even better. Now it can transcribe voice notes... sort of. That is great news, and since VR+ is one of my favorite Blackberry applications and since this is BerryReview.com, why not write a review about VR+? Read on... " Full review by Luciano ES
Full review by Jonas Sell

GPSed by SHAPE Services
"For a social LBS however, it's great that GPSed is compatible with a huge range of smartphones and standard-OS handsets as well. If your device has internal GPS or is capable of communicating with an external GPS unit, odds are pretty good that you can utilize this app. As such, I'd like to see SHAPE expand on friends, sharing and communication." Full review by Zach
"GPSed's free application allows users to track their trips in real time from their mobile devices and then share their trips and photos with friends online. Routes are traced onto Google maps and include altitude and speed data as well.
In about a month, members will be able to add photos to their trip tracks, said company representative Helen Khais. The geotagging feature will assign the precise latitude and longitude to the photos according to synchronized time stamps from members' digital cameras and GPS enabled devices." Smartphone Software - VR+ Voice Recorder for Blackberry
"It's easy-to-do, just record your message and when you're done just select the upload option. Slick. In fact, everything about VR+ Voice Recorder is slick. It has configurable options that make it intuitive and easy-to-use. So, if you'd like an easy way to record notes or emails on your Blackberry device this is your solution. I like VR+ Voice Recorder so much that it's not only a Pick, but I'm also making it a Dr. File Finder Favorite. " Full revice by Dr. File Finder
Smartphone Software - IM+ All-In-One Messenger
"Now I've also found a solution for my Blackberry 8830 and it's called IM+ All-In-One Messenger. It has support for ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber, and more. It also supports an impressive array of mobile devices including BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Symbian, Palm, Brew, and J2ME. That means you can chat with your friends using IM+ All-In-One Messenger no matter what type of phone you have. In using the program I was impressed with the features it offered. I could easily add contacts from various services, edit their information, and more. On my Blackberry I configured ICQ, Yahoo, and Google Talk in just a matter of minutes. The program is very easy-to-use and intuitive, perfect for users with all levels of experience. The program can autoconfigure the network settings which means you don't have to have any special knowledge in order to use it." Full review by Dr. File Finder
