IM+ & jabber.org

Hi,

SInce yesterday i'm not able to connect to jabber.org so i talked to the good people at jabber.org. It seems that they are mirgating their servers. BUT it also seems that IM+ uses Jabber 'old-style' as they call it over there. The new settings are 5222, no ssl (untill now 5223 SSL worked in IM+) and negotiate over TLS. Im+ doesn't connect anymore. Other clients like Slick connect happily. Can this please be fixed ASAP?

GMX, WEB.de and 1&1 in Germany doesn't work either. They use the server with TLS on port 5222.
If you still use SSL (it is the 'old style' of encryption) on port 5223 it won't connetct.
Please add the TLS support for port 5222 for Jabber protocol.

According to jabber.org, the issues they were encountering are already fixed and the work should've resumed back to normal.

I don't know who you speak to at jabber.org but the problems they had was with migration to the new system. Those problems are indeed over but not the problem with IM+ since it uses the old way of encryption!!!!! jabber.org=new style, IM+ old style, simple

Please disable SSL, the port will change accordingly and you'll be able to connect.

chome.pl also not connecting anymore. TLS needed, but since support don't really believe us....

I will try to explain 1 more time (sigh):

The new jabber protocol needs TLS on sign in! there is NO TLS setting in IM+. Disabling SSL is not enough. Slick has a TLS setting and connects in seconds to, in this test, chrome.pl !!!!!!

Obviously, IM+ is no longer compliant with XMPP standard until next update (if any).

IM+ supports TLS, and does for a while now.
In case there are not jabber.org accounts that have been working and are not working now, we will require log file for further examination.
In case you are using not jabber.org, were able to connect successfully and are not able to connect now: please create a log and post here so i can let you know where to send this log (please DO NOT post logs here)

Jabber.org is facing technical issues which they report and keep users updated about. Please note that we won't be able to do anything prior to their issues are totally fixed.

I am still seeing issues with Jabber logins on IM+. I can login via multiple desktop clients, so the issue is with IM+. I can get online with other services via IM+, just not jabber any longer (it was working).

I have sent in a couple logs, so hopefully it is being worked. I asked for an update via email today again as I have not heard anything back since Mondays submitted info.

As I can see from your logs, you have iPhone. Please make sure to post any issues faced in respective forum, as the information we might require differs from platform to platform.
