You may be online and exchange instant messages (SkypeOut not required)
For any voice communications (Skype Out or Skype Unlimited is required). Get SkypeOut credits
Why do I need to have SkypeOut to talk to my Skype contacts?
SkypeOut is used to call your number back.

Why do I have to enter my phone number?
You phone number is required for a call back (see above). Please note, that you may enter any phone number.
It may be a landline phone number where you wish to receive a callback.

You Skype password is used to get you connected to Skype at the moment of sign in.
